SPICY EGG CURRY RECIPE

Egg is one of the common food. There are a variety of recipes which can be prepared using egg. If you are an eggetarian, here is a spicy recipe for you. Try it out and you will surely love it.

Ingredients:
  • 2 eggs (boiled)
  • 1 tbsp cooking oil
  • 2 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 tomatoes (finely chopped)
  • Red chilli powder (according to taste)
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
  • 1/2 tsp chicken masala powder (optional)
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander leaves
Preparation Instructions:
  • Heat cooking oil in a skillet and add cumin seeds in it. Add ginger garlic paste when cumin seeds start changing colour.
  • Saute for a minute and add chopped onion. Cook them till they become golden brown.
  • In a small bowl, mix coriander powder, red chilli powder and salt. Add a little water and make thick paste.
  • Add this paste into the golden brown onion and fry for few minutes till the oil began to separate.
  • Add tomatoes and cook them till they become soft. Add a little water and cook the gravy for 2-3 minutes.
  • Cut the boiled and unshelled eggs vertically into two pieces. Add them into the gravy.
  • Cook eggs and gravy for another 2 minutes till the eggs mix well into gravy. Make sure that the eggs don’t break.
  • Turn off the stove. Sprinkle some garam masala and chicken masala. Egg curry is ready. Garnish it with coriander leaves.
  • Serve hot and spicy egg curry with rice or chapatis.
Tips:
  • You can also use green chillies in place of red chilli powder.
  • You can also put full eggs in the gravy instead of cutting them into halves.
